remember,

I shall choose exquisite words

pop them from my dancer dictionary brain to describe you

compliment you

In the middle of nowhere

at the mercy of faint foliage and twigs

make your knees go weak

the way I hold your hand

first barely, then all at once

hurriedly lacing your fingers in mine

won't let go despite the sweat layering our fingers

I don't want to forget

that you hate tomatoes or potatoes

you pluck them from your burgers - toss them in the bin

when I cook for you, I'll hide them well

you, an eager learner

me, a fucking nerd

we battle life, and then we live it

I'm swimming the sea for you
