to be auctioned in museums of the future

salvaged love letters with browned edges

old diaries water colored in teardrops

how pretty

but talk about being fucked up

no joy in sunrises

delusional, dysfunctional

sobbing, crouched on bathroom tiles

can't feel my head throbbing despite sleepless nights

have you ever missed a step on a staircase? zombie in a crumbling world

dying

or perhaps, only lying

all day in bed, blurry meaning for sunsets

tell me,

what weight do words have?

they're stuck in my chest, I cannot beat them out

trembling here in the deep suck

forgotten where you are

fingernails peeling apart,

miserable how hurt makes for good art
